Sister B's Transformation
Sister B and her husband are experiencing the joy of transformation.
Sister B came to us with seven years of seminary education and many more years teaching in seminaries. She was married to the pastor of the largest church network in a nearby city, and came to our program with a deep sense of superiority. From day one, she realized that we were nothing like what she expected. We placed strong focus on the presence of God, healthy community and culture, and very interactive, engaging ways of teaching.
One day, after a prayer session with our intercessors, she came to the point of great brokenness, confessing that her marriage was on the verge of death and that she didn’t possess much spiritual reality in her life at all.
“I have always blamed the people around me for my problems. God has opened my eyes to see my own sinfulness, self-centeredness and willfulness. I need God’s mercy and forgiveness!”
That day, she surrendered herself to God and gained new hope for her marriage, life, and ministry. God has truly been working in her life, transforming her into a humble, grateful woman and leader. At her invitation, her husband came to the program for a two-day visit, and decided to stay! He is now being renewed day by day and coming alive as well!
During her one-month return home between modules, Sister B offered to do a three-day training on our Healthy Church model for 30-40 leaders in a nearby church. The number of participants ended up growing to over a hundred strong, and the training days to 14 days! The people loved her training, and were so encouraged that they asked her to come back again soon.
Now with renewed life and capacity, and a much closer relationship with Jesus, she is very hopeful and grateful for a brand new start. We are so thankful to God for the joy of witnessing her journey of transformation!
