On Fire for God in Zambia
“I am blessed beyond measure!”
A recent highlight for our team was the ten-day training for Operation Mobilization’s (OM) Africa Region. This training included OM leaders from eight different African nations and representatives from other mission organizations, as well as members from every LeaderSource country team. By God’s grace and through the prayers of many people in many countries, He blessed us with more than what we could have asked for! We experienced God’s presence and transformation in the participants’ lives in a big way.
We organized eight teams of six members, spreading LeaderSource participants among them. These teams took turns serving the kitchen staff, fasting, praying, and leading us in connecting to God during afternoon sessions. Everyone was assigned partners to encourage each other in what they were learning and to pray together daily. All these relationships created a rich context that promoted trust, vulnerability and unity.
This context provided answers to long-burning questions and revived every leader’s passion and love for God.

“I have been developing leaders but I did not know how exactly to do it: What areas should I focus on? What model could I use to build these church planters? But this training was a blessing because it answered all those questions … Also, the model for Healthy Church spoke to questions I have had for many years. Now we have a model that we can use to help our churches become healthy, and once our churches are healthy it will be easier to reach out to the lost. I am very blessed! I am vibrant! By the end of our time together, OM participants were designing Learning Experiences for their different ministries and evaluating their leader training programs for health and effectiveness. We built and bonded with our country teams from all around the world, and were greatly stretched and grown in the process.
As one of the top leaders of OM said, “We will never be the same!”
