Mobilizing Students in Nigeria
A young leader in Nigeria whole-heartedly embraces healthy leadership.
Sister H is one of our exceptional emerging leaders in northeast Nigeria. She was introduced to us by another sister in her fellowship, who attended a training we facilitated. Both women are so passionate about Jesus and His Bride, the Church. We met with Sister H for only a few moments, but both women immediately mobilized 10 students to join a ConneXions training with us that very evening. Since then, they have been following up with each student in their personal growth.
When the opportunity arose to hold a Building Healthy Leaders (BHL) training in a nearby town last year, Sister H leaped at it. She used what little pocket money she had as a student to transport her small group of students to the training (a four-hour drive). Experiencing the full force of this training fueled her passion for leader development even further. She immediately signed up with our intercessory team and is driving a new youth movement aimed at raising healthy leaders among youth in Nigeria and across Africa.
Sister H led her first BHL training soon after for 22 participants. This is the culmination of two years of our LeaderSource Nigeria team’s investment in her life, coupled with the love and favor of God. She was able to bring in several young Muslim converts to this training. She began with the nature of Jesus’ leadership, and she and her young team of leaders are resolved to continue with this training every Saturday until they have exhausted everything the BHL has to offer.
Sister H is an embodiment of the love of God and passion for healthy leadership growing ever more powerful in Nigeria. Please remember her and her team in your prayers!
