Essential Training in India
Transformation in leader's lives lead to transformation in their ministries.
Our LeaderSource India team facilitated a Building Healthy Leaders program for 180 pastors and leaders of the New Life Fellowship Association (NLFA), a network of 35,000 churches in India and abroad. Most of the pastors are involved in pastoring multiple congregations in and around Mumbai. For them, the training was a breath of fresh air and a way forward toward actual transformation in their ministries.

In some churches, even though the leaders were working together, their hearts were not united. When they learned about the 5Cs, especially Community and Character in the life of healthy leaders, many of them took initiative to reach out to their team members, and God restored many relationships during the training.
Pastor D, a senior board member who has been with NLFA for 36 years planting churches and raising leaders, was convicted of this very thing.
“Since I hold PhDs, I felt I knew many things and could easily make the church grow and form many branches, that I could raise many leaders. But today, I can say boldly that I have been very poor in relational dynamics. After going through this training, I decided that by God’s grace I am going to really work hard to build strong relationships with all the leaders around me and with all of my colleagues.” (Pastor D)
Our India team witnessed similar significant openness in the leaders; they were forgiving each other and confessing their shortcomings as a whole.
God also truly convicted these pastors in their calling to raise leaders in their respective ministries and churches. Pastor G said:
“I have been building women leaders using many different teachings. However, after attending the BHL training, I am convinced in my heart that I will use this model to build leaders of our church network.”
The NLFA network is planning to use the ConneXions Model to build leaders in many more locations moving forward.
