Jan was introduced to Jesus at a young age by her parents. Being raised on the mission field in Brazil planted the seeds for appreciating diverse cultures and loving the nations. In the mid 90’s she took her husband and two sons to serve with the CoMission for a year in Russia and has been on numerous short term missions to various cultures since.

Jan is a retired English as a Second Language public school teacher working primarily with families from Latin America. These experiences have deepened her empathy and understanding of the need and importance of supporting and encouraging believers involved in ministry, particularly those working in difficult places.

Jan serves on the LeaderCare team for LeaderSource. She also serves the body in worship leading, children’s ministry, hospitality, and teaching.

She and her husband live in Indiana. They have two sons and three grandchildren.
