“I can't be lazy anymore with my own growth design…”
Our Cameroon team met Brother E when he served as a volunteer for a youth leadership event they participated in. From that small exposure to our leader development models and principles, he held his own Building Healthy Churches and Building Healthy Leaders trainings for his church.
Brother E’s passion in leading the youth of his church in applying the ConneXions Model to their individual lives and their youth group has also been a blessing to watch. During a design workshop with his youth group, he led the meeting with over 30 youth leaders of his church to clarify the 5Cs and 4Ds and teach them how to create experiential designs to impact the lives of youth.
He reported:
“I can’t be lazy anymore with my own growth design and with the group’s growth because most of the youth are looking up to me. I am so grateful to God for the excitement and passion shown by many of the youth just a few weeks after the training. I praise God that for the first time after many years more than 100 youths from our church and her daughter church attended our first retreat to fast, pray, learn and talk about their spiritual growth. Their commitment is quite encouraging.”
The retreat Brother E spoke of is one of the spiritual dynamic elements in their group design. The goal of their design is Christ, and the focus is growing the spiritual life of the group. Praise God for what He is doing among these youth and in the life of each individual as they implement their designs.
